ESPARTO

FROM ALGARVE

Esparto is a natural fiber, derived from plants of the Gramineae family, and has been used in Portugal for centuries. Traditionally, esparto was used to make baskets, rugs, and other utilitarian items, especially in the Alentejo and Algarve regions. Today, esparto remains a valued craftsmanship technique, being integrated into various design forms, including furniture, adding a rustic and authentic touch to the pieces in our collection.
